This project celebrates the twentieth anniversary of the Fleet Library’s 2006 NADAAA renovation, which transformed the former Rhode Island Hospital Trust Bank into the library we know today. Drawing from the renovation’s orthographic drawings, we focused on the grids, axes, and sectional transitions that reveal the space’s structural logic. Key linework was extracted and distilled into a system of linear motifs and spatial outlines that form the core of the identity. Using this line language, we also reinterpreted iconic architectural features of the library, including preserved elements from its former life as a bank.
